Vendors Wanted

Limited Space Available!!!!  We are searching for several local artisans who are looking for a physical venue for selling their handmade goods.  Only handmade items will be accepted.  I am looking for vendors in many different categories of items. We are currently in need of vendors that provide healthy snack food options for our grab & go and our sit & sip beverage customers.  Vendors who produce handmade teapots, teacups, coffee cups and accessories are also needed.

Location of the store is 5533 NC Hwy 42 West Unit B32, Garner. We just opened on October 13th.  

Store is just over 700 sf so we will only take on a limited number of vendors. I am also trying not to have too much overlap in product types/similarities.
 
The Soap Hut with tagline "Shop Local ~ Buy Handmade ~ Savor Community" and is promoted as a Coffee & Tea Bar, soap shop, herbal & aromatherapy store & handmade gift shop.
 
Below are some of the major points:  
  • Opening date was October 13, 2015.
  • Spaces are a monthly rate depending upon booth size plus 15% of sales.
  • Vendors may reserve one or multiple booths.
  • Store will handle sales tax collection and remission to the state.
  • Store will provide all shopping bags and other retail materials as necessary for customers.
  • All merchandise sales transactions will go through store (including class registration and class fees).
  • Store is set up to accept checks, m/c, visa, amex, discover, cash and apple pay.
  • Vendors are responsible for keeping their booths cleaned, dusted, stocked and arranged/decorated, items marked with Vendor ID#, Item #, price, description, etc.
  • Vendors are able to track their sales daily through a "back office" provided to each.
  • Not asking for security deposits...only 1st month rent for all new vendors.
  • Lease terms are 6 months to start, rolling into month to month with vendors giving minimum of 30 day notice prior to leaving..
  • Exclusivity in any product category may be given depending upon the category.
  • Only 2-3 vendors in any category will be accepted (depends upon the items offered and they must not be too similar in style, look, feel).
  • Category and booth space not confirmed reserved without 1st month rent paid and signed lease.
  • It would be nice if vendors could provide 12 volunteer hours per month to help cover store hours and/or help with events that may be scheduled.  Each vendor will be able to sign up to cover days and hours that are convenient for them.
  • General look and feel of the store is rustic.
  • Store has joined the Greater Cleveland Chamber of Commerce and is involved in other local business networking groups to help build the business of not only the store, but each vendor.
  • Store participates in local community events.  Vendors are given the opportunity to participate in community events under the Store tent at no additional charge.
